Gates invented the V-belt and continues to be the world's largest manufacturer of power transmission belts offering a broad range of heavy-duty, light-duty and specialty belt drives.
 
Predator®

Gates Predator® belts are the most aggressive V-belts ever made for shock-loaded applications. Predator belts have aramid tensile cord reinforcement for extreme strength, and feature a treated fabric cover for superior abrasion resistance.

Cross sections: AP, BP, CP, 3VP, 5VP, 8VP, SPBP, SPCP

 
Micro-V®

The truncated Gates Micro-V® Belt outperform other V-ribbed belts and thanks to increased flexibility, reduced heat buildup, debris tolerance in the sheave, and the ability to operate at extra high speeds on smaller diameter sheaves.

Two more advantages of the truncated are: (1) the belt does not bottom in the sheave, and (2) the belt can better tolerate debris in the sheave groove. They are extremely smooth running and highly resistant to oil, heat and other adverse conditions.

Cross sections: J, L and M.

K-section belts are also available.

 
Truflex & PowerRated

Truflex® and PoweRated® V-belts are designed for back idler and clutching applications such as lawn mowers, powered cultivators and other lawn and garden equipment.

Polyflex® JB®

Used in compact, high-speed drive applications, Polyflex® and Polyflex JB® Transmit greater loads at higher speeds in less space.

PowerBand® Belts

PowerBand® belts were developed by Gates for drives subjected to pulsating loads, shock loads or extreme vibrations where single belts could flip over on the pulleys.

Available in Super HC, Super HC Molded Notch, Hi-Power II and Predator.
 
Metric Power™

Gates Metric Power™ belts are designed for OEM quality replacement on imported, speed-sensitive machinery typically used in the textile, packaging, conveyor, food processing and machine tool industries. Made with Gates exclusive EPDM construction, Metric Power belts can withstand a higher threshold of heat and offer superior protection against hardening, cracking and wear.
 
Power Cable®

Previously recommended by Gates for the toughest shock load applications, Power Cable belts have recently been replaced by Predator® Singles
 
Spliced Belting

Used on drives with little or no take-up, or as an emergency belt replacement.

Belting is sold on reels in standard V-Belt cross sections.  Ends are spliced with fasteners that require special assembly tools.  Always use the correct fasteners with the correct belt type and cross section.

Nu-T-Link*, a new, high performance spliced belt, is also available for use as emergency belting, and for drives where conditions are detrimental to rubber belts.

 
Multi-Speed

Multi-Speed belts have a distinct shape.  Multi-Speed belt top widths are usually greater than their thickness.  This permits a greater range of speed ratios than standard belts. usually cogged or notched on the underside, Multi-Speed belts are specified for equipment which require changes in driveN speed during operation.

Multi-Speed belts are specified by Top Width, Outside Circumference, and the required Groove Angle.  The groove angle can be measured from the drive pulleys.

 
Super HC and Super HC Molded Notch V-Belts

Narrow profile transmits up to three times more horsepower than classical section belts.

Cross sections: 3V, 5V, 8V, 3VX, 5VX, 8VX

 
Hi-Power II and Tri-Power V-Belts
